Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
A federal government agency. Headquartered in the Atlantic Region. The Agency's goal is to improve the economy of Atlantic Canadian communites through the successful development of business and job opportunities. ACOA operates the "Atlantic Innovation Fund AIF" which is a $300Million, 5-year fund designed to strengthen the economy of Atlantic Canada by accelerating the development of knowledge-based industry through strategic partnerships with Canadian industry, the AIF can contribute to collaborative R&D projects.
Precarn Incorporated
A national consortium of corporations, research institutes and government partners working within the Intelligent Systems industry. Precarn funds projects in intelligent systems R&D and helps to bridge the innovation gap between university and government research and commercial applications.
Technology Partnership Canada (TPC)
A technology investment fund established to contribute to the achievement of Canada's objectives; increasing economic growth, creating jobs and wealth, and supporting sustainable development. TPC advances and supports government initiatives by investing strategically in research, development and innovation in order to encourge private sector investment and so maintain and grow the technology base and technological capabilities of Canadian industry.
