Ontario - Israel  

Ontario and Israeli companies are invited to submit new joint R&D project proposals for funding approval in 2010.   

 The next Deadline for submission of Full Proposals for consideration at the following CIIRDF Board Meeting in 2010 will be 30th April, 2010.   

Prior to submitting a Full Proposal, please submit a Summary Outline, available for upload at the following location: - CIIRDF Proposal Summary Template

CIIRDF will review the Summary Outline and advise companies in writing regarding proceeding to the development of a Full Proposal. [approximate timeframe: 2 weeks]

Israeli companies are to submit proposals through the Office of the Chief Scientist in Israel , instructions and forms are available here. 

Cooperation between the province of Ontario and Israel  

In April 2005, the Province of Ontario and Israel signed a Memorandum of Understanding on industrial and technological development cooperation. The agreement commits the two governments to strengthening and promoting industrial partnerships and project collaborations that are of mutual interest and benefit to Ontario and Israeli companies. CIIRDF has been designated as the implementing agency. In this capacity, CIIRDF will help Ontario and Israeli companies find appropriate, strategic partners for innovation projects, facilitate the identification of joint industrial R&D projects involving Ontario and Israeli companies that are eligible for financial support by the two governments, organize Ontario Israeli workshops in areas of mutual interest and undertake other initiatives to promote potential opportunities for Ontario Israeli cooperation and collaboration.   

Ontario Israel Partnership Facilitation  

Strategic alliances can be key vehicles for companies to acquire the technological capacity to maintain competitive advantage. CIIRDF will assist Ontario and Israeli companies to find effective partners for industrial and technological development projects . Support for Joint Industrial R&D Projects  

Ontario and Israeli companies can apply for CIIRDF funding support of up to 50% of costs for a joint industrial R&D project.

Convergent Medical Technologies Program

 

 

 

 

Supported by the Memorandum of Understanding between Ontario and Israel,   htx.ca - The Health Technology Exchange (HTX), the Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc. (OCE Inc.) and the Canada-Israel Industrial Research & Development Foundation (CIIRDF) are collaborating with the Office of the Chief Scientist in Israel to deliver the Convergent Medical Technologies Program (the “PROGRAM”)  providing the opportunity for funding support of up to 50% of the cost of a joint R&D effort.

The PROGRAM offers a significant advantage to companies that see research and development (R&D) as a key part of their growth strategy and allows these companies to undertake collaborative projects beyond the scope of their current R&D capability for the development of innovative, leading edge health technologies for the global market.  

The objective of the PROGRAM is to drive advances in healthcare and healthcare delivery systems with increased efficiency and effectiveness.

The PROGRAM will review Full Proposals on a biannual basis for approval. The current deadline for submission of Full Proposals is January 23rd 2009.
