What Does CIIRDF Do?

CIIRDF:

• Fosters R&D collaboration between Canada and Israel
• Facilitates bilateral R&D partnerships
• Provides early-stage investment for Canada-Israel R&D alliances that leverage the complementary capabilities, expertise and resources of each partner

To fulfill these objectives, CIIRDF:

• Promotes Canada-Israel R&D collaboration, and other novel models of multilateral cooperation that bring innovators from these nations together with others from around the world
• Offers a matchmaking service that brings together Canadian and Israeli companies seeking R&D partners Invests in bilateral R&D initiatives with high commercial potential by contributing up to 50 percent of joint project costs, to a maximum of CDN $800,000; CIIRDF-funded projects cross many scientific disciplines, technologies and industrial sectors, including biotechnology, agriculture, information and communications technologies, automotive, natural resource management, public safety and aerospace
